Days 20 & 21, Mon. & Tues., Jan. 24 & 25, 2011–At Sea

Wow!  We slept in Monday morning and I didn’t get up until 8:30 and watercolor starts at 9.  Luckily, they were just catching up on old projects.  I went for breakfast and then we had a golf chipping challenge from the bandstand into the pool.  At least I hit the water once and Ray hit each bear and won.  Two others made it into the basket and both Matts went into the pool with their clothes on!

We were up on the Sports Deck in the afternoon for a very windy Ring Toss Challenge.  We had to throw it over our heads with our back to the target.  I won with a score of 40.  In crafts we made a paper boomerang photo holder.

It was formal night with a theme of “Mutiny on the Bounty” with pirates galore all around the ship.

The Amsterdam Singers and Dancers presented Broadway’s Grand Voyage this evening.  They sure do work hard!

The picture on the right is from the TV screen showing our position.  There is a lot of water around us!  Clocks back another hour!

IMG_1499 Our gift tonight was a security wallet.

Tuesday was just the opposite of yesterday.  I could not sleep and finally got out of bed at 5:45 AM hoping to catch the sunrise.  I missed it, but there were quite a few passengers out walking.  I had breakfast and then went to painting.

We had another Nine Hole Golf Challenge and then Ping Pong.

Ray went to another Culinary Demo on lasagna.  Lunch on the Lido Deck was a Mongolian Cookout.  You could pick which vegetables, meats and seafood you wanted and the chefs cooked your dish right before your eyes.

Ray had a Blackjack Tournament and then napped and I made a mouse note holder in crafts and then went to the HAL Chorale.

The program tonight was a Variety Showtime featuring Ken and Casey, Andy Bunger and Cheryl Sinclair.  Ray isn’t feeling too well, so he didn’t go to the show, he went to bed.  My throat is getting a tickle in it.
