Days 23, Thurs., Jan. 27, 2011–Bora Bora, French Polynesia

I did not sleep well at all last night and woke up with a horrible head-ache and cough.  Ray slept under another folded blanket and had a good sweat through the night.  We decided today would be better than tomorrow to go ashore.  Bora Bora is a tender port.  Bora Bora hasn’t really changed in 10 1/2 years.  I recognized some of the shops.  We found a food store and bought some soda.  I bought a very pretty black pearl set.  Needless to say, it was very hot ashore.

Back on the ship, we entered the ring toss and ping pong challenge.  They were setting up for a Polynesian BBQ on the Lido deck for dinner.  We ate in the dining room because they were serving Mac & Cheese, my comfort food.  We went up to the Lido after dinner and Ray tried the pork.

There was no show tonight, just the movie “Avatar” in the Queen’s Lounge.  We opted for limited TV in the cabin and some rest.

That roasted pig looks awesome. We had it on one of our cruises and used to go to Harrison Portugese Rest. for it. We both love it!! Beautiful place to be, enjoy and take care of those colds!!
