Day 30–Fri., Feb. 4, 2011–At Sea

Another beautiful day at sea!  It’s hard to believe it’s been a month already.  In watercolor class we started designing our own design to put on tapa cloth.  We will paint it tomorrow.  We did target golf in Wii.  Ray went to listen to B. G. Duke and I went to see if I won the globe drawing.  I lost, so joined Ray in the Queen’s Lounge.  We bought his DVD that shows lift-off and footage from the moon.

Ray went to Bocce Ball and Hockey Slap Shot and I colored my hair.  I won’t need a haircut in Auckland as I thought I would.  In crafts we made earrings with Acai beads from the Amazon.  I chose green so I would have green for St. Patrick’s Day.  We finished all the songs in HAL Chorale.  I took some pictures of some of the art on the ship.

The entertainment tonight was Encore, a contemporary evening of the classics featuring the Amsterdam’s own soprano Julie Bell and tnor Paul Avedisian.  Our gift tonight was a set of two mighty bright flexi thin magnifiers.  At least they will be easy to carry home.

Patience and perseverance have a magical affect before with difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish. – John Quincy Adams -   (This quote they gave us on our nightly card makes no sense to us, there must be a typo somewhere.)
