Day 68–Mon. Mar. 14, 2010–Singapore

The Merlion is a figure with the head of a lion and the body of a fish.  Its name comes from a combination of mermaid and lion.  The Merlion was used by the Singapore Tourism Board as its logo up to 1997 and continues to be its trademark symbol.

We decided not to go ashore again today so we had a leisurely breakfast and joined in the Onboard Sports of Wii Bowling, Games, Ping Pong Toss and Quoits.  Brooke tried to help me with the external drive, but I had to see Jeff after dinner.  It started to rain again but it waited until all aboard at 1 pm.  Singapore checks all passports again before they clear the ship to sail.  We were supposed to sail at 3, but it took longer to clear the ship.  Some passengers did not return their passports to the front desk.  There were quite a few ships just outside the harbor.

Jeff said I have to go online to complete the external drive, but it will work for now.  I looked in my other photo file and they were all gone, so I’m not having a good computer day.  I found them, but had to import them all over again.  Aargh!  The entertainment was excellent.  Sarah Chandler played the saxophone.  Having played the clarinet, she was excellent!

Our clocks get set back one hour again tonight.
