Day 18–Fri., Oct. 14, 2011–Dalian, People’s Republic of China

The clocks were set back one hour last night.  At 6:30 am it was 61 degrees.  We had a Cruise Critic Tour with Harry to see Dalian and a drill show at the Mounted Policewomen Station for 220 Yuan pp or about $42 pp.  The ship wanted $84.

We went to a park by the city hall where vendors were selling kites and then went to a lookout for a city view.   It was kind of hazy out but it was nice.  We then went to the Mounted Policewoman Base and watched them do a routine.  The Drill Instructor was very strict.  You will have to visit us to see the video.  I haven’t learned how to post them.  We went for a lunch, shopping and the Ocean Park where they had the stone dragon and a man flying a very long kite.  It was a good tour.

We had an early sail away at 2:30 p.m.  I am writing this on the 19th, so I don’t remember what we did when we got back on the ship, other than packing for Beijing.  Our entertainment tonight was Graffiti Classics again, 16 strings, 8 dancing feet, 4 voices in an entirely new show.  They were a hit with the audience.
