Monday, April 9, 2012 – At Sea

We went to the dining room for breakfast and had a nice full table and good conversation.  We talked so long we missed the golf.  We went in a few of the shops, and then Ray went to the casino to learn how to use the poker machine table but that wasn’t what they were doing.  I stayed on 7 and did some reading in Crooners Lounge.  Today was the day for the Pub Lunch in the Crown Grill and we had decided to meet there at noon.  I looked up at 11:30 and there already was a long line.  I went and stood online.  Of course they opened 5 min. early and Ray was not there.  I went in and got a table by the door, put in our order for fish and chips and went out to look for him.  At noon he was coming up the stairs.  We no sooner sat down and our delicious lunch arrived!

Today was our day to present our passports for UK Immigration so we went to get on that line.  It moved slowly as there was only one man checking them.  They kept our passports.  Of all trips, I did not bring our photo copy of them.  We shouldn’t need it in the Azores.  I made it to Zumba again, was about to nap in the room when I remembered the card making class.  I went to that and made two lovely cards.  I worked on blogs and got ready for dinner.

Tonight was formal night and the entire table ordered the filet mignon, no lobster tonight.  It was also the night for the Champagne Waterfall in the Piazza.  Again there were two shows and we went to the 8:15 show of the Grand Princess Singers and Dancers (forward) which was SRO.  The next show didn’t start until 10:15 so I went to the cabin for my book and met Ray in the Vista Lounge (Aft).  I stayed there and read while Ray went to the casino.  The second show was the comedy-magic-illusion show by Richard Griffin & Hayley.  I am not used to these late nights so I headed for the cabin.
