Day 6, Thurs., Jan. 10, 2013, At Sea

A nice smooth day at sea on our way to Manta.  Ray slept in a little later and I did the watercolors and birdie toss.  This was a typical sea day with lots of activities going on.  Before the crafts class started, I was sitting a couple of tables away from John Amos, our celebrity guest entertainer for tonight.  I wanted to ask him to take a picture with me, but just told him I was looking forward to his show tonight.  We asked him to join our crafts class, but he said he broke his hands too many times playing football.

We did go to his show, which was a monologue about his life.  He kept referring to his notes, said he would do a little of his one man show he has been doing travelling around the world.  After 1 hour and 15 minutes we left and I think he was just starting to do a little bit of it.  His wife was sitting behind us and laughed in all the right places and started the applause for different events.  They had a camera on him to show on the large screen, but it would have been nice to see some clips of his old shows.
