Day 14, Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 ~ At Sea

We had a little lesson on doing portraits from one of the passengers in painting, and I am going to give it a shot.  It will probably take me a few days to finish it.  I spent a lot of time mixing colors.  Bruce and Kevin ran the “Chicken in a Pot” ‘sports’ activity and we all had a good time.  There are 30 to 40 of us that show up.  We didn’t win the raffle at the jewelry shop and Ray went to shuffleboard.

The fish and chips at lunch was out of this world!  Mmm, were they good!  We went to Wii bowling and our team won, twice!  Ray went to the matinee show with Nadia Zaitsev playing classical music on the piano and I worked on blogs.  There was no internet service.  I tried to nap, but Ray came in, turned on the lights and slammed the door.  He “didn’t see me” was his response.  Wait until tomorrow morning when I wake up first. Today was the first day of the HAL Chorale.  Bruce started late because his music won’t arrive until Papeete.  We will start on our encore first.

Tonight’s show was the Amsterdam singers and dancers in “Vocalize”.  This group just does singing and dancing with live music, no scenery.  That group will arrive later.  As always, they were very good.  Great energy!

There is no CNN news, just FOX and that keeps cutting out so I won’t even try to send this tonight.  We are about half-way to Easter Island so we are in the middle of nowhere.  We have not changed our clocks yet because Easter Island belongs to Chile so they stay on their time zone.
