Day 26, Wed., Jan. 30, 2013–At Sea

Another wonderful, warm day at sea with all of the same activities.  A little different activity was chipping into the hot tubs.  We are always playing Wii bowling and it would be fun do something else.

It was formal night, but I didn’t bring my camera.  After a delicious meal we went to the show.  It was “Around the World” with Naki Ataman.  It was a unique non-stop musical adventure through the popular music of 19 countries.  He played for 50-55 minutes on the piano.  In the background, on a screen, were photos from the various countries.  He was amazing.  I had trouble sitting still that long, and he sat playing – with no music in front of him.  He prepared it to play at the United Nations.  He was accompanied by drums and bass guitar.

Our gift was two pairs of Bushnell Binoculars with 8x magnification which will come in handy in Africa.  We did pack a pair, so we’ll see which is better.

Here are some pictures of the shops.

“Time is that quality of nature which keeps events from happening all at once. Lately it doesn’t seem to be working.” ~ Anon.
