Day 28, Friday, Feb., 1, 2013 ~ At Sea

Some time today we will cross the International dateline.  At 3 pm ship’s time it was 8 pm on the East Coast.  We are at 167°07.30 W longitude.  When we cross the dateline we will lose Feb. 2 and go right to Feb. 3, so we will be a day ahead of you.  We should get into Auckland around 6 pm on Tues., Feb. 5 instead of the morning of Wed.  Hopefully we will get good reception so we can see the Super Bowl on Monday.  I think this will be our longest time at sea in a row on this cruise, 5 1/2 days.  In the past 16 days, we have docked once, anchored three times and had twelve sea days.  It will feel good to be docked for 2 days in Auckland.

We didn’t do too much today, but I did get a round of applause from my bowling team.  As I’ve said, we always do bowling in Wii.  You bowl one frame and it is the next person’s turn.  Well, today I got to bowl in the tenth frame and my team was behind.  I bowled three strikes and we won by four!  I really didn’t do too much of anything, played on the iPad and read.  I should have done some quilling.

The show tonight was Natalia & Michael, international ballroom dancers.  They were much better than the first couple we saw.
