Day 66, Tues., March 12 2013 – Hong Kong

Today we walked around the mall that is attached to the Ocean Terminal where we docked.  It is a very expensive mall.  It also connects to a lot of hotels.  We dock right next to the Star Ferry Piers so the location is good.  It is just a long walk just to get out to the streets.  We went to the supermarket to see if we could find some raisin cookies.  No luck, but we found some pretzels.  There were some interesting finds in the snack aisle – dried fish and something that looked like baby squid!  Mmmm.

In English, this package said Black Pepper Slice Salami, but if you read the label below, it said, Yagai Salt Pig Tongue.  It is always fun to roam the supermarkets.

We tried to find lunch again, but no luck.  We headed back to the ship to eat and then left later to get our glasses.  We were a little early, so we walked around the area.  There was free Wi-Fi in the Star building.

After dinner we watched the evening light show and then the Hong Kong Cultural Arts Show in the Queen’s Lounge.  It was a busy day.

“If a man insisted always on being serious, and never allowed himself a bit of fun and relaxation, he would go mad or become unstable without knowing it.”  ~  Herodotus
