Day 71, Sun., March 17, 2013 -At Sea & Singapore

The ship greeted us with a wonderfully decorated Lido for breakfast.  The waiters were wearing green and streamers were all over.  They greeted us with “Top of the Morning”.  There was a special party in the Queen’s Lounge to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the morning.  There was music, games, trivia, Irish jigs and a sing along.  Limerick contest winners were announced.

There was a little rain as we pulled into Singapore, but it stopped before we got off.  Our weather has really been great.  We arrived at 2 pm.   We received this notice: “Singapore Customs regulations prohibits the following to be brought ashore:  chewing gum, chewing tobacco or imitation tobacco products, pistol or revolver shaped cigarette lighters controlled drugs or psychotropic substances, endangered species and their by-products, firecrackers, obscene articles or videos, and reproductions of copyrighted materials.  Offenders are subject to severe fines and/or incarceration.” IMG_2010 Every time you leave or board the ship you have to go through passport control and customs.  In bold red letters, this is on the back of our entry card:

Being Sunday, we just went into the mall at the terminal and went to the drug store, food store and a few others.  We got on the Internet at Dr. D’s coffee shop and sent a few emails.  The password was 1133557799.

Ray had corned beef and cabbage for dinner.  We are here overnight, so there was no show.  They showed the movie “Hitchcock” in the Queen’s Lounge but we went to see “Butter” in the Wajang Theatre.

“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”  ~  John Wesley
